I'll make this short and sour.

1. I'm taking a break from Naruto. Things about it irritate me, and I need some variety for once. In the meantime, must maintain 10 stories a day........

2. Likewise, writing a Naruto self-insertion fanfiction might not be worth it... much easier and more satisfying to play it out in my mind...

3. I'm tossing between brainstorming a Suikoden V story (I'm three chapters in), and just pulling a Harry Potter story out of my backcrack. I'm not so good with improvisation on the computer (mostly due to procrastination and my need to read rather than write) but I'll think of something.

4. I'm reminding myself of why Goblet of Fire is as far as canon Harry Potter goes for me. WTF was Rowling thinking, making Dumbledore homosexual anyway... it's exactly like a horrendous fanfiction... geezus Kriste...

5. While I'm at it, the whole 'romance' of Harry Potter irritates the Viduka out of me. No proper build-up whatsoever for one, and complete bulltosh, 'sexual tension' garbage for the other... bleh... canon is scum...

6. Anime music actually makes me lazy to write... ¬¬

7. I need a daily planner but too lazy and cheap to get one. So what's the point...

I miss Sheep In The Big City...

Okay. Here we go...

1. I'm going to try and update four times a week starting now. I'll hope to make proper use of this journal thingy, since I refuse to use MySpace (snicker).

2. I'm seriously irritated. Why? People giving me reasons to doubt my favourite fanfiction pairings. Started long time ago with Isaac/Mia from Golden Sun because Valeshippers (i.e. Isaac/Jenna fans) prattled on about how all the evidence points to that and that there's nothing in the game that suggests Mudshipping. Bullnuts. Then it moved onto Lloyd/Colette from Tales of Symphonia. Well, that was mostly people bashing Colette for her voice, her in-game role, her 'suckiness' in battle, her apparent failure at life... whatever. I'm not getting started on Naruto/Hinata from Naruto because I could be here all day (and as much as I like being online, I have TV shows to watch). Suffice to say Naruto/Sakura and Kiba/Hinata fans can kiss my backside. Now it's settled on my current to-be-ranked pairing from Suikoden V. I'm not giving it away (although my FFNet profile does - damn), but criticisms about the female and her connection with the male are really giving me the irrits. And I haven't written a SV ficcie yet so I don't have the closure or the comfort of knowing I've done what I know was right. Because I'm lazy.

3. So, current status...

Screw it, gonna get this out of the way.

Anyone who's read my Fanfiction.Net profile will know at least one of three things:

1. I have fanfics I said I was going to provide, and I haven't done it
2. I have a user profile that should be changed as soon as possible (including making the point that myself and Mashu exist within the same body in real life. The Real Life Geek, as I'll call that person, has issues.).
3. There's a "Top 10 supported couples" list needs a tune up. Badly.

Okay, addressing #1:

There IS a Naruto one-shot I drafted yonks ago. Looks like piss-weak crap to me so I'll either bin it and come up with a "Missing in translation" #2, or bite the bullet, type the draft up, fix any plot holes and problems and dump it on FFnet to watch it die once and for all. Oh yeah, I'm morbid.
The Babysitter Mia Version 2 has a 'first' chapter. I could type it up and let people read it, but I get the feeling I made everyone more OOC than the original. And there are inconsistencies. But at least I get to abuse more copyrighted material, whilst making it legal under a "I don't own jack crap" disclaimer. I love fanfiction.
The Suikoden V fanfic... You know what, I haven't the foggiest friggin' idea. I've got a brainstorm for my first chapter, but after a month of not playing the game (I'm only 17 hours into it, and probably not even 1/2 the way through), I'd have forgotten names, places and character behaviours. I told myself I wouldn't pick up the game again until I'd gotten at least the first chapter down. I gotta work on that.
Lastly, I'm on a Tales of Symphonia binge again. I made up all these odd blooper scenario ideas for fight scenes in the game, and I'm drafting the first one in my offline time. So maybe that'll leak out before any others. We'll see what my mood's like.

Addressing #2:

I'll change the details on FFnet, and consequently my FrontPage-structured Dot.TK site. Which also needs a tune up.

Addressing #3:

There are couples that need to be added, some replaced, and most rearranged according to my obsessions and recent activity. But as far as I see it, Top 5 aint gonna change. Oh yeah, I like the boring ones (e.g. NaruHina, HarryHermione). Well, Mashu likes the boring ones, I should say, but yadda yadda, same basic person, blah blah blah.

I should write an Azumanga Daioh fanfic. That would be fun.

Geez, I can't remember the last time I updated. Eh, I don't even have much to report anyway, but here goes:

- I'm attempting to redo chapter... what is it... 12, of Mercury Matchmaker. The way it came out was just... so wrong, and I'm going to try and rectify the up-and-down habits the plot has adopted. In other words: The plot sucks, I'm going to fix it. Somehow.

- I've dug out my old "True & Dare" Golden Sun fanfic from days when I could get away with script form. I might post them on my own webpage for a while, or type them up properly and submit them. Somehow, they'd be easier to write, due to their spontaneous nature and really half-assed sequences. Ugh.

- Other than that, all I've been doing is crappy poetry. The first thing on my Chrno Crusade list will be "Mission of the heart"... one day.

- Oh, and somewhere, my Fire Emblem fanfic has halted due to my crappy attention span. I shall pick it back up when I can find its script... wherever it's gone... ugh.

First thing's first. I almost forgot my LJ password. oO; Ugh.

Okay, to the body of the entry. I've been looking through my old work, groaning at some stories, raising eyebrows at others... then I came across two things: My abandoned "Prank or Promise" story (curse FFnet for their anti-script-formness), and the only chapter of a Golden AU story I'd concocted quite a while ago. Last year, in fact. Wow, times really travels.
But I digress. I don't know if I should relive P&P, but writing it up as a proper story. Heck, Joker's Specter did it with Night games (although I think it was someone else typing up the proper pieces. Right or wrong?), so it wouldn't the first time a Golden Sun writer has done it. However, I doubt it would last long. Longevity is one of my big issues, and it sucks. Gah.
Secondly, I chanced upon that AU story. I lost all my preplanning to it (ARGH!!!), but I do have that one chapter. If I'm lucky, I might be able to dig out the notes from wherever they went to, unless they're vanished off the face of this earth. However, if anyone wants to see the chapter (it's not much, and I doubt it'll achieve any kind of proper story background), comment or email me.

Yes, you heard me, damnit. I've been struck with the Mudshipper bug, and I'll be infected for at least two weeks. After those two weeks... I'll probably be on and off again. I'll just start by saying...

I HATE FRICKIN' AMATEURISH HARRY POTTER CROSSOVER FANFICTION!

... Phew, that was a rush. Seriously, though, Harry Potter scenarios are the biggest clichés in the fanfiction world. I check about 5 categories (more or less, depending on what I'm hooked into) in the "Just In" menu daily, and I'm quite astounded at the number of fanfiction involving the characters in a Harry Potter world. Ugh, it drives me up the wall, somewhat. Worse yet, the only Harry Potter crossover fanfic I'm fond of (a Golden Sun one, no less) has gone MIA... Yes, I spot the irony.

That said, that's a good transition to my less disturbing announcement. I'm about to read a new Golden Sun angsty fanfic, and looking at it reminds me of my own travesty of a three-part tragedy series. I'm not particularly fond of it for two reasons: one, I killed my favourite female character in it (and thus effectively killed my favourite GS coupling), and two, I'm not proud of how I wrote parts of it. It all seemed rushed to me... that said, I don't think I have the stomach to try and make it more depressing than I already did. I... oh, wait, hold up. Mashu (my real life counterpart) may be a depressing person by nature (willingly going to school 2 hours before it starts? Don't tell me that's not depressing), but both of us (yes, we have separate roles in fanfiction writing) at least prefer a little light in our stories. When it comes to our top 10 favourite couples (1/4 of the total number of couplings we care about on a regular basis), we usually try to dump as much fluff and lint as possible on them. Meh, don't ask me...
If you managed to understand that, then I can get to the point. I'll read the person's story first, then I'm gonna write a Golden Sun mudshipping fluff. I think I'll need to do so on a weekly basis. It'll keep me motivated, and you just know Isaac and Mia are meant for each other and want each other bad... muwahahahahaha....

Man, I think I'm going to make a "To-do" list of fanfiction tonight. There's too many ideas pulsating through my mind at the moment. Here's what I gots so far:

- I'm trying desperately to think of a way to update Mercury Matchmaker. However, I think I may have to tamper with the ending of the prior chapter. It just doesn't look right to me... However, I do want to rip on Isaac a little in the update. I have just the right idea for that... muwahahaha...

- My Pokemon fanfic "Comedy & Crisis" needs a direction. So far all I have is talking, and I feel as if I'm not achieving anything. That, and I've no idea what the heck the characters are doing. Oh, and after a brief scan... my writing so far in that story has been atrocious... SEPPUKU!

- The Cardcaptor Sakura one-shot idea's still rotating through my mind. I'm just wondering how to go about the body of the story. It should only be half as long as Valentine Folly at most, but it still needs a backbone...

- Poetry's always a good idea. Maybe that's what I need for inspiration. It kinda worked well for the two I've already done. They snuck under the radar pretty well, too.

- It might be tough getting an idea for the Maburaho fanfic. Maybe just some pointless fluff... that works for lots of other people.

- The "One rice ball, two hearts" collection could do with some updating. I've got more ideas for it than I do for the Chrno Crusade one-shot collections.

- While I'm at it, I might put Tsubasa Chronicle up there, too. It's a long shot there, but if I can do Cardcaptor Sakura somewhat competently, a little tweaking of the mood and the context of the plot and I'll be right. If all else fails, I'll revert to angst. I'm quite good at that.

Those are the minor items in the list. Damn, that's a lot of crap. 7 items already, I'm-a gonna be busy. And that's only mentioning Fanfiction. I still have the rest of the first chapter of Fortuitous Fates to complete. Oh, but at the moment my mind's focused squarely on one non-exam task:

Writing a Fire Emblem fanfic.

... Yeah, you heard me. It won't go away after I've read at least 5 in the past 2 days. Now I have to write this thing before it annoys me like Serra's talking... oy yoi yoi...

Okay, now I've said too much. I gotta immerse myself in other people's writing... and steadily grow green in envy...
